LMR200 is a common low loss coaxial cable mainly used for communication, broadcasting, radio frequency (RF), and other applications that require high-frequency signal transmission. It has some important characteristics and is suitable for various scenarios, especially in environments that require low loss and high-frequency signal transmission.
1. Low loss characteristics
The LMR200 cable is designed to provide low loss during high-frequency signal transmission, effectively reducing signal attenuation, and is particularly suitable for wireless communication and broadcasting applications.
Compared to typical coaxial cables, LMR200 has lower losses, allowing signals to be transmitted over longer distances without significant attenuation.
2. Good shielding performance
The LMR200 cable uses high-quality shielding materials (usually aluminum foil and braided copper mesh), which can effectively prevent external electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI) from affecting the signal.
This shielding performance makes LMR200 very reliable in complex electromagnetic environments, especially when used in high interference environments.
3. High durability
The outer sheath of LMR200 cable is usually made of polyethylene (PE) or polyvinyl chloride (PVC) material, which has strong weather resistance and tensile strength, and can withstand a certain degree of external physical pressure.
It has good UV resistance, moisture resistance, and chemical corrosion resistance, suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
4. Electrical performance
Characteristic impedance: 50 Ω, suitable for most RF applications.
Transmission loss (at 1 GHz frequency): typically 0.7 dB/100m, the loss increases with frequency.
