GPS Antenna

Note the Considerations in the Use of Beidou GPS Antennas

Multi-system Compatibility: Ensure that the antenna is capable of receiving signals not only from the Beidou system but also from other Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) such as GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo, to enhance positioning accuracy and reliability.

Signal Frequency Selection: Choose the appropriate signal frequency band based on specific application requirements. Beidou System (BDS) offers multiple frequency bands (e.g., B1, B2, B3), and the performance of these bands can vary significantly across different environments.

Antenna Gain: Select an antenna with the appropriate gain level. High-gain antennas are ideal for applications requiring long-range or high-precision positioning; however, they may also increase susceptibility to interference in areas with strong signals.

Interference Sources: Avoid proximity to strong electromagnetic interference sources, including high-power radio transmitters and electric motors. Such interference can introduce noise into the signals received by the antenna, thereby degrading positioning accuracy.

Antenna Orientation: Ensure the antenna is oriented towards the sky and maintained in a vertical position. Proper orientation is critical for optimal signal reception, and improper alignment can lead to unstable signal acquisition.
